From early Greek history through Roman expansion and onup through today, meditation has been used, not only by leaders andscholars, but by average people as well.

To beginmeditation, locate a place where you can have the least amount ofnoise and disruption. It will be hard for you to concentrate on yourfeelings if you are also having to deal with constant distractions. Next, silently talk to yourself and ask questions that will open upyour inner self. These questions will give you an opportunity toascertain who you are. The questions should associate feelings andpertain to things in your life, for example:

  • Who are you?

  • What makes you different from everyone else?

  • What moment in your life was the most happiest time for you?

  • Is money the leading factor in your life?

  • How do others influence your decisions?

  • What have you always wanted to do, but never took the chance?

  • Which do you consider to be important in your life, family or work?

If onething in your life stands out above everything else, then focus yourquestions and attention on that subject. Let your feelings comeforward and if you end up being confused, concentrate your thoughtson the basic things that happen during an individuals lifetime. Remember, nobody else will know your thoughts, be honest withyourself.

What doyou want from life? That's what your questions should help you todiscover. Your answers will help you to interpret what you trulywant from life.
